Overview: Alloy total product design wanted to offer extra value by extending role of Industrial Design (ID) to anticipate downstream development requirements and eliminate reverse engineering (""Total product design"") and ensure quality products by maintaining control of surfaces through mechanical engineering and tooling development. Alloy’s use of NX system-based modeling technology was essential in keeping the development schedule on track. It allowed very fast response to large, late changes to some technical aspects of the design.
