Web Services Testing: A Primer

Date: January 2008
Type: White Paper
Rating: (1)

Overview: DCOM and CORBA traditionally achieved what web services are now offering but with an exception to interoperability, which they later provide in a true sense. In other words, the consumer and provider were mandated to be on the same version of the OS. CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) was Object Management Group’s specification for interoperability between nodes with an objective to facilitate object level communication between different nodes in a distributed environment.
