How Digital Manufacturing Helps Achieve Quality, Time and Cost Targets in High Tech and Electronics Manufacturing

Source: Siemens
Date: January 2008
Type: White Paper
Rating: (0)

Overview: Electronics manufacturers must introduce new products as fast as possible, manufacture different mixes and volumes on demand and guarantee product quality and control costs. During manufacturing every step in the process must be monitored. A knowledge base is needed to guide fast corrective actions and give customers visibility to quality information. Achieving it requires the integration of new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing execution systems (MES). Ascom Electronic Industrial Services (EIS), a part of Ascom Security Solutions Division of Ascom, uses the NPI and MES components of the Tecnomatix digital manufacturing solution to speed up the conversion of design data.
