Overview: The importance of producing high quality software while reducing cost at the same time has become paramount due to increasing competitive pressure among different software vendors. this paper, present a study showing how to integrate eXVantage (a tool for coverage testing, debugging, and performance profiling of Java bytecode and source code (if available)) into a commercial software development environment. Programmers reported that the use of eXVantage helped them identify some subtle defects which would otherwise not have been detected.
