Overview: In Internet world, the ability to provide reliable Internet communication and collaboration with customers is critical to every companys success. If much of the infrastructure has been built on Microsoft technology, one is probably serving Web pages via the intranet or publicly over the Internet using Internet Information Server (IIS). Perhaps with the latest attacks on and vulnerabilities discovered within IIS, it is considering a more reliable Web server platform. This paper, a joint venture of Versora and Novell examines a few of the reasons this combination makes good business sense. Issues in making the conversion are discussed as are some of the general processes for making such a move.
