Overview: In the midst of rapid growth, Langan Engineering & Environmental Services was challenged by a corporate initiative to become more environmentally responsible from an IT perspective. This meant upgrading its existing data center and installing an uninterruptible power system (UPS) that would support efforts to reduce data center energy consumption and provide a clear path for expansion as blade servers and virtualization were introduced.

Discover the steps Emerson Network Power took to achieve Langan’s ultimate goal of increased availability and reduced data center energy consumption. On the power end, the company decided on the Liebert NX with Softscale technology, which combines the industry’s most flexible approach to scalability with an efficiency rating of up to 97 percent. Additionally, start-up with the unit also included one-year remote service delivery that provides monthly equipment health reports, alarm retrieval and warehousing, escalation management and 24x7 emergency response from Emerson Network Power’s Liebert services business.
