Overview: Sabre Holdings is a world leader in commercial, retail and online travel products, and providing distribution and technology solutions for the travel industry. Sabre was looking for a streamlined design that could both support their traditional VPN network along with a next-generation web-based SSL VPN design. SSL VPN technology provides Sabre a remote access security solution that uses web browsers for clientless remote access to their private applications. Sabre implemented Nortel’s Secure Information Access Solution which provides a single platform supporting both SSL and IPSec VPNs. Nortel performed custom software development to address Sabre’s specific remote access and security requirements.
