Date: January 2008
Type: White Paper
Rating: (0)

Overview: Stora Enso is a global market leader for paper, packaging and forest goods, producing publication and fine papers, packaging boards and wood products. The company’s challenge was to build a new, efficient, manufacturing plant and to implement a new network with high reliability and redundancy to support both manufacturing and office applications now and into the future. Nortel Networks Passport 8600 core switches and BayStack BPS 2000 edge switches, connected together in an SMLT configuration, have enabled Stora Enso to implement a highly reliable, high-performance networking infrastructure supporting critical process control communications and business applications.
