Overview: Telstra Incorporated, the U.S. subsidiary of the Australian-based, global carrier Telstra Corporation Limited. To provide a voice and data network based in Telstra Inc.’s U.S. headquarters in Manhattan that would provide employees traveling throughout the Americas with seamless converged communications and would improve collaboration with its other corporate offices worldwide. Telstra deployed the Nortel Business Communications Manager 400 for unified messaging and the Nortel IP Softphone 2050 as well as Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5520 for high-speed connectivity to the desktop. The solution is designed to provide seamless communications and collaboration capabilities to its offices throughout the world and to its ever-on-the-go sales force.
