Overview: Since Palm OS 5.0 has moved to the ARM processor architecture, the traditional method of hacking the system no longer applies. This paper explains how to extend the latest release of Palm OS to do new and interesting things, hopefully in a manner that is relatively compatible with other 3rd party software and versions of the operating system. The paper covers some of the architectural differences from the older 68k-based systems, as well as some practical information.
