Overview: While availability of high quality information is imperative for quality decision making and effective strategies, the geographically distributed nature of retail business and the ever increasing scale, causing number of locally managed products to balloon, often render the same information unusable. The retail industry will need to overcome these challenges and regard information as an enterprise asset. This paper takes a closer look at the impacts of dispersed customer information, as well as the potential benefits of implementing a single customer view.
