Overview: This paper describes results from the testing of a replicated Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server configuration accessing Exchange 2003 databases stored on an HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) storage subsystem. This solution provides customers with a viable option when disaster recovery sites are separated by long distances from their production sites with low bandwidth Inter-Site Links (ISLs). This solution describes a methodology for Exchange transaction Log-Only Replication (LOR) to the recovery site using HP StorageWorks Continuous Access (CA) array - based synchronous Data Replication (DR). The methodology described falls within Microsoft’s published support guidelines.
