Overview: Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 has the capability to journal all messages sent to and from a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 information store. Message journaling sends a duplicate copy of every message the information store receives to a designated journaling mailbox. With journaling enabled on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 installation, additional resources are required on the server to compensate for the increased message traffic. HP RISS is grid-based computing storage solution comprised of a group of server ""Appliances"" that function together to provide data archiving, indexing, and retrieval services.
