Overview: The proliferation of Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity in the home and office, plus communications-friendly devices, such as PDAs, mobile phones, personal and office computers creates a large demanding base for new services from operators. At the same time the complexity that is introduced, means simplification of how end-users interact with services takes on critical importance. The most promising way to deliver new integrated solutions is via the new industry standard IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS).
