Overview: The Web-enabled Travel Portal is a powerful portal technology that interfaces directly with reservation systems for travel suppliers, such as hotels, airlines, car rental agencies, and entertainment venues, and creates a consolidated record for storing all aspects of a traveler?s itinerary. Using new Web Services baseline technologies, this solution overcomes limitations imposed by today?s proprietary, closed information systems operated by individual travel suppliers.
