Today, IT organizations collect massive amounts of data which is related to application availability and performance. Due to the size of the dataset, most of that data is not usable. It is not leveraged for earlier problem detection nor is it used for quicker pinpointing of the root cause. What is lacking is an analytical approach and automated intelligence to correlate disparate metrics and events, help predict potential problems before those impact the business and assist in root cause identification.
