Overview: Going green is an essential part of the evolution of technology, but it presents a problem for mobile devices. How green can a device that relies on batteries be, even if those batteries are rechargeable? Pierre Mars presents a next step in the development of green mobile devices: the supercapacitor. By using supercapacitors in devices, manufacturers can use high-energy, low-power batteries, or go without batteries by using low-power, green energy sources like solar, vibration, RF, and thermoelectric.
