Small Chip Dielectric Antenna for Bluetooth Application

Date: January 2008
Type: White Paper
Rating: (0)

Overview: This paper has proposed a novel chip ceramic dielectric antenna whose volume is effectively reduced by using the advanced meander-line technique and validates its performance. The proposed antenna’s volume can be effectively reduced by using the advanced meander-line technique. Additionally, to minimize the antenna’s available area on the substrate and to reduce the coupling between the metal layers and the ground plane, this antenna is located on the corner of the substrate. The measurements and simulated results of the proposed antenna are performed and confirmed for operation as Bluetooth applications.
