Placing the BlackBerry Router in the DMZ

Date: January 2008
Type: White Paper
Rating: (0)

Overview: The BlackBerry Router is the component of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server that connects to the wireless network. It also routes data to BlackBerry devices that are connected using the BlackBerry Handheld Manager. If the BlackBerry Router is replaced at any time, the BlackBerry Router address changes, but the BlackBerry devices do not need to be reconnected to the administration or desktop computer to receive a new service book and BlackBerry Router address. The change is automatically detected by the BlackBerry device. However, there is a delay before the BlackBerry device detects the change.
