Overview: Sendmail’s podcast “Cutting Infrastructure Costs by Stopping Unwanted Mail at the Perimeter: Introduction to Stopping Unwanted Mail” focuses on how businesses can significantly cut costs by modernizing their messaging infrastructure and stopping unwanted mail. This podcast is the first of four editions in this series and introduces the topic of stopping unwanted email.

Bob Boucneau – a senior messaging architect at Sendmail with previous experience at BEA Systems – examines spam in general and its impact on an organization, the costs/issues of stopping unwanted mail, ways to modernize the messaging infrastructure to help reduce the amount of infrastructure that’s required to handle mail, and keeping spam from ever touching it. Bob also reveals that simply changing or adding another spam filter isn’t enough for an organization to win the battle against spam.
