For customers with distributed servers in remote offices, Symantec offers NetBackup PureDisk, a stand-alone solution that uses client-based deduplication to deliver bandwidth efficient, storage-optimized data protection for distributed data in remote offices, data centers, and virtual environments. For systems within the data center, customers can leverage target-based deduplication, integrated with NetBackup, by using the PureDisk Deduplication Option.
