Overview: In August 2008, Daptiv commissioned Forrester Consulting to examine the total economic impact and potential return on investment (ROI) that enterprises may realize by deploying Daptiv PPM. Daptiv PPM is on-demand collaborative business software that allows organizations to select, staff, and manage projects across teams, departments, and divisions. This study illustrates the financial impact of deploying Daptiv PPM in a medium-sized, multi-location retail organization. In conducting in-depth interviews with four existing customers, Forrester found that these companies achieved:

• Increased productivity through process standardization and automated reporting.
• An enhanced portfolio management process leading to improved decision-making and increased productivity.
• Cost savings due to reduction in internal IT support requirements.
• Savings through software license fees, server, and maintenance cost avoidance.
• Improved scalability for portfolio and project management initiatives.
• Increased accountability.
• Improved visibility and business focus through automated and enhanced reporting.
• Improved collaboration.

The purpose of this study is to provide readers with a framework to evaluate the potential financial impact of Daptiv PPM on their organizations. Forrester’s aim is to clearly show all calculations and assumptions used in the analysis. Readers should use this study to better understand and communicate a business case for investing in Daptiv PPM.
