Overview: Enterprise Architecture (EA) is increasingly being acknowledged as the way to maximize existing IT investment while planning for future growth & ensure Business-IT alignment. Service-oriented architecture is essentially about bridging the gap between the business and IT through well defined business-aligned services, developed by subscribing to established design principles, frameworks, patterns, and method. The objectives of EA and SOA are quite similar. The difference between them lies in the fact that EA covers entire IT architecture spectrum while SOA provides a services-centric IT strategy.
