Overview: E-mail becomes more important each day as a method of global communication. As IT executives are quick to point out however, building e-mail server clusters is much more complicated than building Web server clusters because of the high data modification rate, complicated data processing, and variety of access methods (POP3, IMAP4, WebMail, etc.) that must be supported.
