Overview: This paper explores how to extend and enhance data protection infrastructures by leveraging the new tools and technologies of storage networking and storage security. The result of applying these tools and techniques is more efficient business operations and universal data availability. One of the basic goals for the new storage network is to consolidate storage so as to reduce both the cost and complexity of the storage infrastructure.
