Overview: This paper describes the advantages of implementing Network-Attached Storage (NAS) consolidation architecture in a Web serving environment. IT organizations, when initially implementing a Web serving environment, often deploy multiple Web servers as quickly as possible due to time-to-market pressures, requiring duplicated processing and storage resources. This causes excessive system, application, and storage administration overhead as well as significant deployment risk.
