Overview: Using VERITAS NetBackup as archival solution, the user might want to use the tapes as part of migration plan to move data from a Tru64 UNIX on AlphaServer system to an HP-UX 11i v2 on Intel Itanium 2-based HP Integrity server. One might also have to maintain Tru64 UNIX archival tapes so one can restore data to HP-UX 11i for disaster recovery. This document will help one to formulate migration plan with regard to archived data using VERITAS NetBackup.
