Overview: HP proposes the HP StorageWorks XP disk arrays with the XP Disk/Cache Partition software to enable the creation and management of multiple virtual subarrays within a physical disk array. The XP Disk/Cache Partition software enables users to logically divide the disk storage, cache, and Fibre Channel host ports into multiple smaller arrays. These subarrays can be individually managed by administrators who have permission to allocate, change, and deliver the storage only within their partitions.
