Overview: EMC Dantz Retrospect for Windows utilizes patented Proactive Backup (called Backup Server in some versions of Retrospect) technology to significantly simplify administration of server backup operations, saving valuable time for the backup administrator and eliminating cumbersome manual intervention. Proactive Backup uses built-in automation to save time and greatly reduce the expense of administering server backups. Proactive Backup automatically ensures that all servers are backed up according to requirements. Proactive Backup automatically continues the backup when the server becomes available again, copying only files that were not previously backed up before the server became unavailable.
