Overview: The Object Storage Architecture provides a single-system-image file system with the traditional sharing and management features of NAS systems and improves on the resource consolidation and scalable performance of SAN systems. This combination of performance, scalability, manageability and security could only be accomplished by creating a major revolution in storage architectures. The first product supporting the Object Storage Architecture has now been released as the Panasas ActiveScale Storage Cluster. It has been deployed at several National Laboratories, multiple seismic processing organizations as well as several biotech organizations.
