(0)Overview: This research paper proposes the distributed storage architecture RobuSTore for high and robust storage performance in distributed environments. Achieving high and robust performance in distributed storage systems is an important open research challenge. Traditional network filesystems or local parallel filesystems cannot satisfy these requirements. The performance variation of the individual disks is the major obstacle facing current systems. RobuSTore idea is proposed to address this issue. RobuSTore combines erasure coding and speculative access mechanisms for high and robust storage performance.
