Overview: In both small and large business alike, the ever-increasing volume of data being stored has created a corresponding increase in the potential for data corruption. An important component in the protection of company critical data is the ability to backup open files even as data is being changed by users or the applications. This paper describes NovaStor?s Open File Backup (OFB) feature designed to permit consistent and reliable backup of open files regardless of application or data type.
