Overview: VoIPStats is one of a suite of tools used by Avaya IP Support Services to remotely monitor and manage IP Telephony performance as part of a specified Avaya Global Services offer. The Avaya VoIPStats tool monitors the quality and performance of all calls in an IP Telephony network. VoIPStats passively monitors the performance of the IP Telephony equipment, utilizing copies of the RTCP packets that are used by IP telephony endpoints (such as Avaya IP Phones and Media Gateways) to communicate with each other. The main component of VoIPStats is installed on an Avaya SIG, which is a Linux server that is placed on the network.
