Genesis Pharma Improves Flexibility, Security Through Microsoft Open Value Licensing

Source: Microsoft
Date: January 2008

Overview: Genesis Pharma is a leader in pharmaceutical distribution in Greece and South-East Europe. The company employs 160 people. Of these, 120 employees use computers, 55 per cent of whom frequently work remotely using laptops. Genesis Pharma’s IT system consisted of PCs, servers, and mobile devices running numerous versions of different operating systems. This resulted in compatibility issues and inefficiencies, which made support difficult and posed security risks. Microsoft Open Value Subscription licensing enabled Genesis Pharma to deploy a single operating system across its network, and to simplify the management of licenses and more accurately forecast software acquisition costs.
