Overview: This paper provides information about debugging user-mode printer drivers for the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems. The methods described in this paper apply to user-mode printer drivers running on Windows Vista. Some methods might also apply to user-mode printer drivers developed for earlier versions of Microsoft Windows; however the tools that are available for Windows Vista might not work when run on previous versions of Microsoft Windows.
