Overview: Aviva offers life and pension products across the globe. The company employs 60,000 people and has a customer base of 30 million. Aviva began offshoring its information technology requirements to India for the first time in 2003. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was one of its offshoring partners. Aviva wanted to have clarity and transparency on its offshore projects to ensure better management. To achieve this TCS consultants designed PARIMAS (Partner Interaction Management System), based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003. The portal helps all stakeholders and partners to interact with each other.
