Overview: Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) has progressed over the years from a simple web server to a developed application hosting platform. While previous versions had some obvious security issues, version 6 of IIS provided enterprises with an application hosting environment that was locked down by default, earning it extensive accolades as the most secure web server ever.
