The goal in outlining the research is to help one build a user experience that enables the customers to understand and feel confident about what the software is doing to protect their information privacy and security, and their ability to make informed decisions to protect their privacy and security. ""Information privacy"" refers to the user’s ability to control when, how, and to what extent information about themselves will be collected, used, and shared with others.
