Overview: In this paper the company takes one through how to perform a transition from Exchange 2000/2003 to Exchange Server 2007. A transition is the process in which one performs an upgrade to Exchange 2007 that is one moves data from any legacy Exchange servers in the Exchange organization to new Exchange 2007 Servers, after which one can decommission the legacy Exchange servers. Its important to note that in-place upgrades from Exchange 2000 or 2003 to Exchange Server 2007 arent supported, because, among other reasons, Exchange 2007 is 64-bit and therefore requires the x64-bit version of Windows Server 2003.
