Source: Avaya
Date: January 2008
Type: White Paper
Rating: (0)

Overview: Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) has often been presented as a technology that will help service providers deliver better performance and availability, including specific benefits in support for demanding applications such as voice and video. This paper presents the results of the test setup used to measure the impact of Avaya CNA across a real-world IP WAN network of both MPLS and Internet links. The goal was to measure the improvement in performance and availability of voice communication that Avaya can provide by virtualizing a combined MPLS/Internet infrastructure and optimizing the routing of traffic across the different paths.
