A Mutual Coupling Model for MIMO Systems

Date: January 2008
Type: White Paper
Rating: (0)

Overview: The demand for more services and high data rates pushed wireless communication systems to its limit. To meet such demands, contemporary technologies need to be implemented while maintaining robustness to the wireless channel impairments, such as signal fading, Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI), and co-channel interference. Multiple antennas are proven to introduce robustness against channel fading and interference as well as to achieve higher data rates and are being used widely in communication systems. Spatial diversity employs multiple antennas at transmitter and/or receiver to provide independent transmitter/receiver channels.
