Overview: Using a modified version of the Diffusion of Innovations framework, the authors in this research paper examine the underlying behavioral, cultural and economic factors affecting demand for mobile technology across several markets. This research paper proposes an initial framework to account for adoption levels of mobile data services between and within national markets. The proposed model, Global Adoption of Technology (GAT) seeks to incorporate the influence of culture to a greater degree than some commonly utilized models of technology diffusion.
