Overview: A standard way of representing both DoDAF and Ministry of Defence Architecture Framework (MODAF from the United Kingdom) architectures in UML® is being developed under the auspices of the Object Management Group (OMG®).

This emerging standard is known as the UML Profile for DoDAF and MODAF (UPDM). This is a work in progress. The mappings described in this paper will no doubt be similar to those in the UPDM standard, but may differ in some details.
