Strengthening Enterprise Defenses With Threat Intelligence

For years, enterprises have been monitoring their own security logs and security information and have been using a variety of event management tools to detect potential threats and improve their understanding of their enterprise's security posture. Recently, however, many security vendors and service providers have begun offering deep analysis of ongoing external threats and delivering feeds of this “threat intelligence” to enterprise customers.

In this Dark Reading report, we discuss how these two security disciplines — security monitoring and threat intelligence — can be integrated to help enterprises gain a better understanding of the threats currently affecting their sensitive data, help predict future threats and develop effective defenses to ward off those threats.
