3Com Goes Back To Basics

Hoping to take back a few market-share points, 3Com Corp. will reveal a new strategy and products in the router space this week. The Router 5000 line is a set of five midrange routers meant to provide end-to-end coverage of an enterprise, from branch office to regional office to headquarters. 3Com also will release the new Network Administrator, software that lets administrators easily configure and perform applications such as backups and updates.
