Siemens AG will unveil an application that combines E-mail, voice-mail, instant-messaging, collaboration, and calendar capabilities in a single interface run by a server connected to a company network. OpenScape provides text-to-speech-to-text capabilities for voice and E-mail and uses Microsoft Greenwich presence software to tell a user how to get in touch with each person on a contact list--via phone, cell phone, instant messaging, or E-mail. Sold through resellers, the application will cost about $250 per user.
