AMD And Intel Bow New Chips

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. this week will introduce its long-awaited 64-bit Athlon 64 PC processor, a move that will be followed later this quarter by the debut of Intel's Prescott chip, the successor to Pentium 4. Both processors follow Apple's 64-bit Power Mac G5 to market.
