Aperture Technologies launched its Vista 500 data center infrastructure resource management system Monday and said it will give IT managers control over space, power, and cooling as well as improved management control over complexities that increasingly loom over data centers.

Vista 500 gives IT managers a window on power consumption at their respective installations, paving the way for the management of three-phase power, power connectivity, and the full power distribution network.

Vista 500 also can be used to track blade server provisioning, the company said. The firm noted that blade server provisioning can be integrated with change management processes.

"Data centers are stressed to the limit and they're tougher than ever to manage," said Bill Clifford, CEO and chairman of Aperture, in a statement, adding that Vista 500 enables data center managers to "visualize their environment, manage processes, measure capacities, and plan for change."
