It's one thing for software to skim out spam and identify peer-to-peer traffic patterns on a closed network. It's another thing to expect software to scan a sprawling carrier network and sort contraband movies, music, and other material from the legitimate stuff.
It's not that believing deeply in something is inherently wrong or pigheaded. But don't let your IT predispositions undercut your ability to weigh evidence that supports a different view.
This isn't a call for Soviet-style 15-year plans, but there's a huge difference between being adaptable and having the patience of a fourth-grader.
