John Curran is President and CEO of the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), which manages the distribution of Internet number resources, including IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, in the US, Canada, and various Caribbean and North Atlantic islands. He formerly served as CTO and COO of ServerVault, which provides managed and highly secure infrastructure solutions for sensitive federal government and commercial applications. Prior to his time at ServerVault, he was CTO for XO Communications, where he was integral in leading the organization's network initiatives. Curran also has served as CTO of BBN/GTE Internetworking. He has been an active participant in the Internet Engineering Task Force, having co-chaired the IETF Operations and Network Management Area and served as a member of the IPng (IPv6) Directorate.
